Using the proper brush can make the world of a difference and making sure to brush your hair frequently can also effect your hair. Most women with coarse and curly hair often don't even brush their hair very much while trying to avoid frizz. While women with fine hair only use combs. This is completely backwards. If you have fine hair that you wish would grow more or become thicker, a bristle brush that stimulates your scalp is probably a good option for you.
Your head needs to be brushed frequently to stimulate blood circulation and to promote hair growth. Brushing also removes dust, dirt, and product build up from the hair. You should always brush your hair before shampooing and use a wide-toothed comb after to remove tangles from wet hair. You should always begin brushing the hair from the ends first and work towards the scalp. Once the hair is completely detangled you can brush the hair from scalp to ends. Also, if you have ever worried about the amount of hair that you find in your brush, stop worrying. Everyone loses hair everyday. Between 40 and 100 strands of hair is the average daily hair loss. This may sound like a lot but there is on average of 100,000 strands on a persons head.
There are many types of brushes and usually a natural bristle brush is the best. You should always have a bristle brush to stimulate the scalp and promote hair growth. I highly recommend a Denman brush. But knowing the difference between a styling brush and a grooming brush is very important.
To groom I recommend the Denman grooming brush with natural bristles and for styling I recommend the Denman 5 row classic styling brush. Which is great for straightening and smoothing the air while blow drying. We used Denman brushes at school and they are highly recommended by hair professionals all over. You can find them at Sally's beauty supply stores and they can range from about $9.99 to $20.00.
I hope this was helpful!!
